Since the late 1980's, the CAiSE conferences provide a forum for the presentation and exchange of research results and practical experiences within the field of Information Systems Engineering.

In June 2005 the conference will be held in Porto, Portugal - one of the most beautiful cities in the world, having been declared by UNESCO as World Heritage in 1996 ( www.portoturismo.pt/en ). Porto is also the most important centre of education and research in the North of Portugal.

CAiSE'05 aims at bringing together researchers, users, and practitioners in the field of information systems engineering. The conference programme will feature paper presentations, workshops, tutorials, and interactive panel sessions.

CAiSE'05 is jointly organised by FEUP, the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto , and by DSIC-UPV, the Department of Information System and Computation of the Polytechnic University of Valencia.

The conference and associated workshops and tutorials will be held in Sheraton Hotel (to be confirmed), in the city's business district, and in the campus of FEUP, in the heart of the main research and academic district of the city.
